Q: Do I have to use the company my insurance company suggests?  Answer: NO! You have the right to choose. Some insurance companies will imply that you will have to pay any difference in price if you don't use the shop they recommend, or that you will recieve unsatisfactory work. This is job steering and it is illegal. It is YOUR RIGHT as a policy holder to go where you want to go!

Q: What is O.E.M. Glass? Answer: OEM stands for Original Equiptment Manufacturer. When you purchase a new vehicle every component on the vehicle is considered to be OEM. When you replace a part such as a fender or windshield that is not made by the car manufacturer you are replacing the OEM part with an after market part. The after market part is not the original equiptment for your car and may not be as high qualtiy.

Q: I have  a crack or ding in my windshild- is it really important that i fix it right away? Answer: YES!! It's important for 2 reasons: if the ding is small, it may be repairable. But the longer you wait the more debris and dirt will collect in the break- and the more the break will spread. The second reason is because the windshild is an important structural element of your car. It helps keep you and your passengers in the car in a front impact accident, and keeps your airbag in the optimum position so it can function as designed. Also, damaged glass may cause optical impediments when driving, particarly at night.

Q: How long will it take to replace my windshield or other glass? Answer: The time it takes to replace your glass is dependant on the make and model of your vehicle. Our Customer Service Representative will be able to give you a general estimate is time is a factor (i.e., lunch break, have to pick up the kids from school, etc).

Q: Will Glass Solutions bill my insurance for me? Answer: Absolutely! We'll handle all the paperwork and we will even call your insurance company and set up the claim for you.

Q: Will my rates fo up if I get my windshild replaced or repaired through my insurance? Answer: No, windshield replacement falls under the "comprehensive" portion of your insurance rather than the "collision" portion. A cracked windshild does not reflect your driving ability and has no bearing on your level of risk to the insurance company.

Q: What if my car was vandolized or my door glasses need to be replaced? Will my inurance cover that as well? Answer: Yes. Your "comprehensive" coverage covers all the glass in your vehicle.

Q: Can my windshield be replaced if it's raining? Answer: In order for provide mobile auto glass service during inclement weather, we will need suitable shelter (such as a carport, garage, parking garage, etc.) from precipitation.
